Stewed apples to settle the gut

Apples contain a natural substance called pectin, which can help to settle a nauseous stomach. Sipping apple juice can help if you're feeling queasy – if you have morning sickness or you're feeling the side effects of chemotherapy, say – but I also love to stew apples and enjoy a bowl as breakfast, a pudding or just a snack.
