Flavoured butters

Flavoured butters and spreads are a great way to add a bit of goodness to a slice of toast or a humble sandwich.

Method

Berry butter

Squash the ingredients together with a fork or blitz to a purée, then leave to set in the fridge for 10 minutes.

Ground seed butter

Squash the ingredients together with a fork and leave to set in the fridge for 10 minutes.

Nut butter

Squash the ingredients together with a fork and leave to set in the fridge for 10 minutes.

For the berry butter

  • 50g softened unsalted butter
  • small handful of mixed berries

For the ground seed butter

  • 50g softened unsalted butter
  • 4 tablespoons ground seeds

For the nut butter

  • 50g softened unsalted butter
  • 4 tablespoons toasted and finely ground mixed nuts
