Cranberry, almond & orange balls

Dried fruits contain plenty of gut-friendly fibre. This recipe combines them with hemp shells and other anti-inflammatory ingredients for an energy-rich snack.

    Makes 30 balls

Method

Place the dates and cranberries in a food processor and blend until they form a crumbly mixture.

Add the hemp shell, oats and orange zest.

Slowly stream in the coconut oil and keep blending until the mixture comes together in a sticky ball.

With a small spoon, scoop the mixture and make into 30 balls.

Place on a tray until set and ready to eat. You can keep them in an airtight container in the fridge.

250g dates, chopped

80g dried cranberries

40g hemp shell (from health food stores)

40g oats

1.5 teaspoon orange zest

2 teaspoons coconut oil, melted

40g ground almonds
