I’m delighted to announce the launch of Nourish Haven, unique wellness breaks hosted by myself and supported by an incredible team of Nourish therapists, chefs and counsellors. In uniquely beautiful surroundings, we will create a safe, nurturing space where we can help you explore your feelings, strengthen your body and inspire a new way of living after illness. Most of all, this well be a place to relax, restore and rediscover your sense of self.
Being unwell can take a huge toll on our physical and emotional wellbeing. But it’s often after illness, when the immediate crisis is over, that we feel most lost. At Nourish Haven you will be able to reconnect with your body and create a powerful template for moving forward. You’ll learn about foods to Nourish you (and indulge in incredible meals based on Nourish principles), enjoy yoga, meditation and massage to restore your senses, and share your experiences with others in an atmosphere of trust and caring.
Our first Nourish Haven will take place this summer in a stunning private home in Olhao, Portugal; see the details, below. To find out more, please contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org.

Our first Nourish Haven will be a seven-day retreat for those who have recovered or are recovering from cancer treatment. We want this to be a joyful, inspirational experience, full of heart and healing. Nourish founder and dietician Jane Clarke will be with you, sharing her nutritional wisdom and huge expertise on the connections between food and cancer. Jane’s sister, clinical psychotherapist Ann Marie Clarke, will lead group sessions that will enable you to explore your feelings around your diagnosis and look forward to new beginnings. There will be a choice of inclusive and optional wellbeing therapies, including yoga and meditation, plus plenty of time simply to sleep and rest. And because this is Nourish, you will enjoy incredible food and take back recipes, tips and inspiration for your return home.

Casa Fuzetta is one of the area’s largest houses, influenced by Moorish architecture and with parts dating back to the 16th century. It was bought by owners Tara and Jonathan in 2013 and has been restored to the standard of a boutique hotel, offering intimacy, comfort and privacy. Focused around a private courtyard, there are 12 ensuite bedrooms, a relaxing living room and library, plus gorgeous terraces, rooftop yoga decks, a meditation room and two treatment rooms.
‘Casa Fuzetta is a sanctuary; a place to reconnect with a slower, seasonal way of life. Our mission is to create everyday magic’
Tara and Jonathan, Casa Fuzetta owners
The Rediscover Your Self Cancer Recovery Retreat will include a personal consultation with dietitian and Nourish Founder Jane Clarke, who runs a specialist cancer clinic in London. In addition, there will be three group nutrition workshops with Jane.
1 The past This workshop is about understanding the effect of cancer and its treatment on your body, and recognising signs of depletion and trauma.
2 The present We will look at specific issues, such as lack of sleep, poor digestion, loss of strength and the side effects of treatment, and provide nutritional strategies to help.
3 The future Debunking dangerous food myths and suggesting a larder-full of truly nourishing foods to empower your next steps.
‘In my practice, I see the profound effect of good nutrition for those recovering from cancer. Eating well provides sustenance, restores strength and heals the body. But for me, true nourishment encompasses the joy of eating, an understanding of ingredients and the pleasure of making and sharing food. Nourish Haven will bring all these elements together and show you how to recreate our recipes at home.’
At Casa Fuzetta, you will enjoy freshly prepared seasonal produce sourced from the local fish and food markets. We will adapt meals for individual nutritional needs, so please just tell us what you need.
Ann Marie Clarke is a committed clinical psychotherapist with a wealth of experience and expertise. Responding to the individual needs of those attending the retreat, she will use humanistic relational modalities of psychotherapy over five group sessions to offer a unique and authentic therapeutic experience. She will explore the impact of cancer on your sense of self and help you to create a powerful template for moving forward in spirit and strength. Ann Marie is registered with both the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy and the European Association for Integrative Psychotherapy.
‘The Rediscover Your Self Retreat is an opportunity to have the break that you need. In a safe, nurturing environment, you will be able to express what’s going on for you, share your experiences with others and simply take time for yourself.’
